Understand your points, but I think eververse is better in D2 actually... you can get everything without ever spending money now

I prefer to avoid Eververse but the game does not let me because I cannot decrypt its "engrams" from my inventory, and I don't like how its rooted itself in the game espically the endgame, it just seems to suck the design out of it. Its not paying the money, its the fact that it exists, and besides, there are people that spend money get a better chance at the getting good stuff than from leveling. I know this because I accidently payed for an engram with silver that my friend bought I got the both exotic Eververse emotes in season 1, like you can do that but you won't get anything good from it unless you were lucky.

  • except for when they permanently remove ships/sparrows/shaders/armor from the bright engram pool every time a new season starts. That's a clear push to get you to "spend now before it's cone forever."

doesnt have to be bought. I know guys that have a piece or two of that "Optimacy" armor from Bright Engrams. Its' RNG. But becasue it's such a low chance due to the pool being so wide, the only way to get it all before they remove it (which is in about a month, mind you, to be replaced with Dawning armor) would be to spend real money. A lot of it. So while making everything earnable in-game was good, putting it on a timer sours the deal.
