8 RepliesWe pretend to be heroes on the screen. When real tragedy strikes, we tear those apart that express a simple, sincere concern for our fellow man. Christian, atheist, or agnostic: are we so lost that we can't merely communicate our hopes that others will be spared that which we hope never befalls ourselves? Isn't that the basest form of humanity? If we can't do that, then why should any of us be allowed to breathe the next breath?
-
Prayers don't do shit. Send money or go there and help cleanup the mess.
-
1 ReplyJesus keeps sending hurricanes your way because you won't stop masturbating
-
If we're here assuming that prayer actually does something, why not just pray for the hurricane to dissipate? Honestly it doesn't make a lot of sense to just watch the hurricane hit and then pray for the people that lost their homes. Just pray for it to go away. Or do I not understand how praying works?
-
4 RepliesGonna pray for those who don't know where to put off topics instead. #Offtopic
-
29 RepliesDear invisible man in the sky that created and controls the universe through telepathy, please keep those in the path of the hurricane you created safe and free from harm. Amen.
-
3 RepliesThanks for the support guardians. Most of us are ok in Florida just a lot of flooding and trees down. And to the idiot Satan worshippers and Pagan idiots. Don't come crying when your life's turned upside down. I'll be the first to laugh and tell you how stupid you are to have a little faith and compassion for others regardless of their beliefs. People like you are what's ruining the world. Just help eachother. Punks

These forums are for games. Not stuff like this. Prayers don't do anything. There no one or nothing to pray to
-
Just got home in Tampa. Blessed to say the hurricane didn't do anything here.
-
Lot of rain and wind, lots of fallen trees and branches other than that my area is pretty good... only thing that sucks is i have been out of power for a day so it's hot as hell in my house
-
The only things that happened in my area we're severe winds, rain and a whole lot of fallen branches. I lost power once and my internet came on again during the afternoon. The media blows everything out of proportion. There were people driving their cars, bicycles, etc. Oh and did I mention the eye passed right over us? Lol
-
Bum off with "praying"
-
60 RepliesPray? Did you say pray? I'd rather dedicate my next bowel movement, it's about as effective. If you actually care so much then get up and do something, your "thoughts and prayers" are nothing more than a stand up comics name for his special. There is plenty of cleanup or relocation or donations you can make.

1 ReplyI live in Florida and honestly I have to say I put a fan outside to blow Irma away, I think it worked
-
How dare you mention something politically incorrect!
-
She started hitting us late last night. Now this bitch needs to go somewhere else and stop being such an asshole. I have shit in D2 to do before reset and Comcast can't get out and work on the lines.

43 RepliesEdited by Romans43: 9/11/2017 12:55:48 PMWow. After reading all these replies I'm glad to be what I am. I don't believe I've seen a single atheist on this site who hasn't bashed Christianity at every possible moment. You guys believe that in the end there's no consequence or reward for everything you do in life. What on earth are you trying to prove? A guy makes a simple post about supporting Hurricane victims while at the same time mentioning prayer and you guys go into religion terminator mode. Does mentioning prayer mean we aren't supporting the victims in other ways? No. Prayer gives us the strength to do what we can among other things not directly related to what we're doing, but to what everyone else is. Does it ever occur to you guys that you act as hateful as certain "Christian" groups (I believe you know which ones)? Do you know what the only difference is? They're actually trying to save you from something. Now does this justify their attitude? Of course not. It drives people away from even thinking about going to church once. Now, reverse it. The attitude of these people is exactly what you people have. But you don't even have a good reason for it. Bad people and influence are rampant throughout the world, and we show that we're against it. But we Christians try to do something good (showing support for storm victims) and we're immediately shot down? Grow up. If there's something in the world that you don't agree with, and your only response to it is bashing someone else, don't put that response out there for everyone on the opposite side to see that what you represent is pure hatred. If you can actually put your thoughts out there in a civilized way and show why you disagree, maybe the opposite side won't think that they are the only sane individuals on the face of the planet. Edit: I guess I didn't make part of this clear. In the religious arguments that I have seen, not one atheist has come up with a reasonable response. Also the guy below responding to everyone else is exactly what I was talking about. "We are yelled at to pray"? Everyday we are told to participate in various acts that we don't agree with and have multiple lies and sins pushed in our faces. And you're mad because one guy asks for prayers? If you're still confused, refer to the above. I don't think I can say much more on this topic

20 RepliesI'm on st pete beach, if you're not familiar with the area, it's a barrier island in the Tampa Bay area. As of now it's looking like we'll be getting the eye going right over us around 2am Monday morning. So yeah, needless to say, all positive vibes are welcome. Wish us luck!

1 ReplyI'm on the app trying to get my destiny fix since I'm without power. -blam!- you Irma
-
That bitch Irma left me without power last night, no damages whatsoever though so that's good I just need the power back on so I can play destiny again
-
I'm not religious but I don't think I've ever seen so much fedora-tipping in one thread.

4 RepliesPrayers against something you believe to be an act of God is a little hypocritical.
