Xbox One controllers suck!

So I've had a total of like 4 controllers? The first two I got that came with the original Xbox one both got stick drift. One got stick drift in the left analog stick and the other one got it in the right analog stick. So I can't use those anymore because they don't give regular Xbox one controllers the option to fix the deadzone unlike the pro controllers for some reason?? I'll also add in that I don't care so much for these two because I had them for so long. So these breaking down on me is okay. I had another 2 controllers that had the left bumper and right bumper break off altogether. So now I got ANOTHER one and yet again the left bumper has broken off!!! Idk what it is with Xbox one controllers but they're garbage. I'm not one to rage at my games either and throw them around. I think the most damage ever done is them being dropped a foot of the ground onto carpet at most, but still.. damn xbox 360 controllers I have still work better. I also don't rage at the games like a lot of you are assuming. When I do rage it comes out verbal rather than physical rage. I don't toss around my controllers and whine like an infant. Edit: Well this post is trending so that's cool! I also meant to ask this in my original post so I'll just edit it in. You guys have any problems with your controllers? Any specific buttons break for y'all? PS4, Xbox One, or Switch doesn't matter what just comment about your own experiences!

  • I have both PS4 and Xbox One. XBox One controller sucks. Plain and simple. They are plastic vibrating pieces of garbage. But hey ... its Microsoft who has been putting out garbage since the original Windows operating system. The force feedback of the PS 4 controller is sublime. Really gives you a distinctive feel for the weapon.

  • Yea pretty much, it's a proven fact that X1 controllers are the worst controllers ever created

  • The bumpers aren't meant to be pressed directly. You roll your index finger to press them. Puts less wear on the bumper buttons. Perhaps you should treat the controllers with more care. I still have the very first controller when the console's first release. Works great.

    • I never had a problem with them. Ever since I bought my Xbox two years ago I only had to buy one more because the original one broke. Is it just me because the RB button becomes very unresponsive after a long time?

    • Lol the only problem I've ever had with either of the 2 controllers I have is that one of the springs in the triggers likes to squeak and it's kind of annoying..

    • Never had a problem with my x1 controllers. First one i used for 3 years and then bought a Elite for the extra buttons. Still use the first one on my pc tho. Could it be that you are too rough with it? Could also be that im just gentle or lucky.

It's not the controllers fault you can't look after it

    • I always find that they last longer when you don't throw them, and clean them once a week in the dishwasher

    • Most of my problems with my controller have been the bumpers getting stuck. All it took to fix was just to push them back in. It's actually very satisfying hearing that nice click as they realign.

    • Never ever had the bumpers bust off, though I did have some horrible stick drift on one, and that same one ended up having a bumper break, though it saw three years of medium-heavy usage.

      • The right trigger broke a month after purchase didn't even drop it and the second one isn't perfect either. I feel like the xbox one controllers are more vulnerable than the 360. And they are a little bit to big for my hands xD

      • Stick drift happened to me once. That's because I was eatting Oreos, and milk fell a little on the controller :l

I have an elite controller and have had no problems with it the entire time I've had it. Maybe invest in one of those cuz build quality is definitely better.

      • I really don't understand why some people break so many video game console controllers. The only controllers I ever broke were from my NES ( from overuse ) and my PS2 ( right Trigger broke from excessive overuse on the game Genji: Dawn of the Samurai ).
