Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think vex can predict/simulate guardians because technically we are not alive.
They also envy (poor word choice maybe) the hives power and throne world's. The VoG is basically the vex attempt at making a throne world of their own.
Don't forget to add the Battle of Burning Lake to the hive fights.

That's interesting, to think of the vault as their throne world. I suppose they are all powerful in it. The only problem is that a few bullets can erase the source of that power.

The Vault of Glass was created in imitation of the Hive throne worlds so they could become more powerful. It worked Also, Atheon cannot be beaten so easily. The only reason we defeated him (an ever-present entity) is because we had an ever-present tool (the Aegis) that was ALSO part of the Vault like Atheon, and we had enough ingenuity and firepower to outmatch his physical strength and other tools
-
And even then, the only reason we have the Aegis is be another fireteam went in and lost horribly. One guy survived for a long time in the Vault, and stuff happened and he tore a hole in the Vault and created the Aegis so we wouldn't end up like he did. The Vex aren't messing around in there.

You're right on all accounts. I did include that the Vex can't simulate Guardians because we defy physics, but I said that they have figured out it's easy to kill us by sending overwhelming odds whenever they encounter us They do not feel jealousy, but they are intrigued by the Hive's power and wish to obtain it so they themselves could be stronger. The Vault of Glass is their most successful attempt at mimicking the Hive And thank you for reminding me of Burning Lake

Np! Its nice to see and be a part of a forum topic that isn't super toxic. Keep up the good stuff.

Right, cus every time they tried to simulate Oryx, it ended up looking like his former proto-hive self.
-
Ah back when Oryx went by Auresh or something like that and he was a she?

Exactly. Had the poor Vex stymied.
