Considering 1.88 newtons is about 1.2 lbs per foot of say you would be fine.
It would take at least 3.0 newton to do any serious damage.

Do u mean pounds per square foot?
-
-
Ok. Even 1.2 pounds per square foot kinda seems like it would damage a PS4, but I always kind of expect stuff to break more easily than it does.
-
That's per square foot displaced. Your impact point is much smaller. That's my take on it anyhow.
-
Wait so if the impact point is smaller, is it more or less forceful?
-
The weight is not distributed evenly and the controller not symmetrical to the perpendicular point of contact at the time it impacts the PS4. Take a bullet (so to speak) by design and force it is meant to apply all its force to the single point of contact characteristic of its small design. Now flatten said bullet out at the same amount of force and its penetration is decreased as its force is dispersed about a larger surface area. The controller is not aerodynamically correct and its forces at odd angles do not apply all of its momentum to one spot. Part of it is on initial impact whereas the rest is then applied at differing times meanwhile losing some of its kinetic energy in the process. Tl;dr YOUR PS4 IS FINE. IF IT DOESNT WORK AFTER THAT BUY AN XBOX ONE AND LEAVE THE DAMN BUBBLE WRAP ON IT WHILE MAKING SURE YOU TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR STUFF!!! And stay in school. 🤓

Thanks! Stay in drugs, don't do vegetables, and eat your school.
-
Does that mean it's more or less pressure?
-
The ps4 in itself is pretty strong
-
Yeah there's no damage, external or internal, as far as I can tell. Ok thanks.
