There is another one shot way to do it.
Have another exotic weapon already equipped. Have the eidolon ally as your primary. Then turn it into the nechrochasm.
This also brings up the standard gun..

That just brings up a bog-standard AR. I think OP wants nothing on screen. That's still cool though. Kicking myself for not taking it into pvp to see what happened

I took it into pvp! It's just a really crappy low stability and high impact auto rifle. Same archetype as genesis chain.

Nope I did ask one particular person and he said it just looked like an all black auto rifle. When he died he said it come up with nothing as the name. Also the other day I got the first curse, I traded in the crappy common hand cannon and got the first curse, since I already had an exotic equipped, it gave me nothing in my primary slot and I had a hand cannon instead but I didn't get to use it in pvp.

Had that happen to me when I turned in the imprecation to the gunsmith. It was quite a nice surprise
