What the actual -blam!-: Universal Remote
Well goddamn Bungie, how hard are you going to hit UR before you think it's needed completely into the ground? You already made it practically useless when you hit its range in the last patch, but, this? 3 rounds and slow as all holy -blam!-? Get your goddamn heads out of your asses and turn this shit around. For one, the UR deserve to be out ranged by any shotgun (at least in ADS) and it doesn't have to be all that slow. Remember, it's a primary weapon, you have to sacrifice your versatility for it so it deserves to live outside the normal definition of a shotgun. As it stands right now, it might as well be a legendary in the primary slot. At the very least the community is owed an explanation. Or maybe if you hate it so much you could just take it out of the goddamn game. I've been a loyal guardian from day one Bungie, but to this I have only a heartfelt -blam!- you and lofty middle finger to wave in your direction. So -blam!- you Bungie, sincerely, -blam!- you asshats.

Yeah, UR was my favourite gun- now I get to use a Keystone 001 with crowd control and pick people off from afar. They can't nerf battle tactics

2 RepliesThe point of the nerf is to keep players happy. Everyone is a little salty about getting matador'd every 5 seconds, and universal kind of makes it so that you don't run out of shotgun ammo. So they put a crutch on it, making it more difficult to zip zip around the map shotgunning 3 people in a split second.

2 things they also lied and did not post in patch notes 1- got rid of its aim assist when they said it was staying (did not post in patch notes) 2- nerfed the range given from the exotic perk Used to kill from 6-7 meters Now it only kills from 4 (Also again... not in patch notes)

Perhaps try using a "primary" in the primary slot. Rather than a "special" . Go on, be brave, give it a try.

I never liked this gun, but is sure seems that Bungie is intent on destroying it. Just permanently delete it and be done with it, Bungie.

That combined with all the other nerfs applied to it made it worthless. You lost special now so my whole play style, you know, how I enjoyed to play the game is completely ruined. I played a few matches after work and just turned it off. Hotfix was garbage, game isn't fun anymore...

The way they just keep nerfing things into the ground despite trying really hard not to tells me they need their positions reassessed and maybe put back through training. We need people who know what their doing and this patch proved it through and through they don't know what they are doing AT ALL. They keep ruining this game one patch at a time. We all need to flood Activision with emails to ask them to put a stop to this debacle. Ask them to lend a helping hand, oh I forgot they want them to fail so they can take over anyway. And frankly I could care less if they did take over Bungie's bunsiness because Bungie has officially failed big time!

Because after they lowered the damage last time, it was too weak to 1-shot people within a respectable distance, so they had to lower the magazine to make sure players could only ever finish off one player at a time. All this in order to compensate for the damage reduction the Universal Remote received. Wait...

These are all fantastic points, but unfortunately Bungie regrets Universal Remote's very existence so they are slowly turning it into a literal Nerf gun with flashing lights and laser sound effects.
