Nothing about the matador archetype has changed since the chaperone came out.

Matador hasn't changed but the following has changed: Drop rate for matador God roll drop rate for matador When everyone has access to the most powerful weapon in the game, it automatically makes the crucible lose its balance. This was done intentionally by Bungie to create the meta. Think of it as a real war situation. If 90% of soldiers carry only a handgun and 10% have a machine gun, odds of winning a war is slim. Now give 100% of the soldiers a machine gun and your odds goes up drastically. It's the same case with matador and clever dragon.

Edited by StrictlyTy: 12/29/2016 3:48:57 AMBut the argument was that since the matador became meta, chaperone lost its place. When the chaperone came out, everyone was given a God roll conspiracy theory as a quest reward which is the same archetype. So that orginal argument is invalid. And your analogy doesn't work, because both you and the enemy have the option of using machine guns. The odds are the same, you just die quicker. So if you go into a war with a handgun with the knowledge that most people have machine guns, whose fault is it when you die?

Conspiracy theory was launched during the sniper meta, thus it wasn't as rampant. Also, universal remote was the one shining at that moment. Obviously I wouldn't enter a war if all I had was a pistol and my enemy had machine guns. My point is that this is the imbalance that we currently face. I want to use chaperone but can't because matador outshines it in ever scenario. Even the playing field by buffing the responsiveness or aim assist of chaperone if you don't want to nerf your precious matador. No one wants one shotgun to defeat the rest of the shotguns in the game. You lose diversity and fun factor.

Lol. Matador isn't precious to me. But I guess we will agree to disagree.
