If you use the ishtar commander app to transfer your gear between characters it shows the armor ratings by placing a gold silver or bronze mark next to the armor. Gold = t12/t13, silver= t11, Bronze = T10
Its the best app for destiny

That's what I used also to help me get to T12. I'm not T12 with my favorite gear on all subclasses, I have different setups for all of them. But, I can be T12 most of the time.

Where exactly does it show? On android here.

Its an android and ios app in the top left corner of all your armor ghosts and artifacts theres a symbol thats gold silver or bronze. If its not automatically showing go to armor grades in settings and turn it on :)

If it doesnt show automatically, i remember having to go into settings for the app and enabling it

Its great you can even set up load outs so you only have to click once and it sends all your guns ghosts, etc between characters
