Is 3 of coins broken?
I've popped 1 separately after each strike and that's about 15 coins wasted and never once got an exotic drop...

Yeah they nerfed rhe drop rate hard! I have been using them during strikes or crucible and yeah the drop rate is roughly 1 in 12-15. It sucks now.

3 RepliesUsed 2 while playing Iron Banner. One "3 of Coins" item brought me one "Motte of Light" (sic). Twice. (sic).

Some days they work really well. I ran about 13 strikes and got 2 skeleton keys and 4 exotics. Other days Il do it and get nothing. It's just random. Only ever pop 1. Popping 5 at a time does nothing. Siva strike list also. Not the heroic.

Its proven to be a 1 in 7 chance for the exotic drop unless you've had the exotic particles active for about five minutes then its a 1 in 5 chance. Bad luck is bad luck.

I seem to have a little less luck than usual with them if im honest and when the do drop its always arms. Sick of it!

7 RepliesSo far for me it seems crucible is dropping them the best. I was getting one I every 4 or 5 games in regular crucible and I was getting one every 2 games in iron banner. That's without skipping games.

2 RepliesImo it does seem to be a reduced rate lately. Then there's skeleton keys.. I've ran an insane amount of heroic and normal strikes this week and got 0 skeleton keys.

You should always look first to make sure the old one was used. Omnigul and Dust Palace, for example, do not use 3oC, so you'd be doubling up after those strikes, which adds no value. Anytime you don't get an exotic after 10-12 strikes, you will soon get 2 or 3 out of 5-ish 3oC uses. It always averages out to 1/6 to 1/7.

Somebody said it, but crucible is by FAR the best drop rate. I don't even play it a whole lot and I can't count how many times I got them on back to back games

I think they're glitched out on the new dlc strikes and pvp. I get them just fine about 1 out of 5 if I go farm the taken zealots on patrols, but in strike I don't get em at all

just popped 3 coins total thru 2 strikes, went to the dreadnought and killed the knight and got 1
