Kinda weird saying this , but I like the first one better. Both are good but the feel of the first one is stronger, I chock it up to being unfamiliar with the program ( I don't know how long you've used it so sorry if I sound rude) so it seems a little wonky vs the original.

Thanks for your advice. They were sort of using the same program - by title only. The program I'm using here has a lot more functionality, significantly more layers, special effect brushes, that kind of thing. Even a select tool, which the other one didn't have. It's closer to photoshop - seeing as I went from a tablet to a Surface, it makes sense. I wanted a more dynamic pose instead of a static just standing there. I feel like there's more personality in a movement. I'll definitely keep that in mind. especially because I'm working on reworking Deidris, what about it seems off to you?

I would agree about liking the first better than the second. The first has better texturing, modeling and stronger anatomy. I think the torso on the new one needs some work . It doesn't look like there is much mass and the way the arms connect is problematic. It is not the easiest thing to do more action oriented poses. I'd suggest an art manikin or try to do some self portraiture on yourself doing the pose. Both are great efforts and are really cool though!

http://i64.tinypic.com/33w34p1.png This is my WIP for Deidris, any critique or comments for her? I've pretty much only ever drawn static poses, so I am definitely breaching into new territory. It's why I toned down the design a bit, just to make everything easier. This method pretty much cut my colouring time in half. I've got eight more of these to do, I'll take what you said into account to make sure that I get those kinds of things a bit better next time. And maybe revisit him once I'm finished with the rest. By then I'll probably have a much better handle on it, and I'll be able to add more details. Thank you for your thoughts. I'm happy to hear more.
