The fallen just want to get the traveller back, but do guardians listen? Do they try to set up peaceful communication? Heck no, we go to a planet and kill every single one we see for fun.

What's ironic is that we're all guardians, we pretty much just fallow the orders given out by the vanguard.

The Vanguard are great and trustworthy people, but they aren't all bad. We kinda have a right to not give the traveler to the fallen because if we do, we humans are likely to be killed off in the process of giving up the traveler to the fallen. Yes, the fallen's greed is that big.
