I remember getting close to the end of the 2nd one when my save file got corrupted.....never got to finish....3rd one sucked imo....didn't feel like a bio shock game

Infinite does have a different flavor being in the sky compared to underwater I'll admit that. But if you give it a chance, the story is incredibly rewarding which is kinda strange considering well written plots never go along with FPS games. Plus it ties into the 1st game if you complete the dlc. I actually became so, so depressed after completing Burial at Sea Ep. 2.

Well every bit of the dlc for all three games is included with the exception of 2's multiplayer if you want to give it a try. Also the Burial at Sea episode 2 lets you play as Elizabeth in a stealth setting opposed to action.
