Soo where is the "free speech" on these forums?
I think you're mistaking the internet for America. There is no free speech on the internet. Where does it say there is?

"There is no free speech on the internet." Well, actually there is..., e.g. WikiLeaks. But, not on 'all' forums and Web sites.
"There is no free speech on the internet." Well, actually there is..., e.g. WikiLeaks. But, not on 'all' forums and Web sites.
Not quite. Wikileaks is owned by people, and they could shut down or edit anything they want. Who's to say they haven't already? Same with Bungie.net. It's owned by Bungie, and they're at least polite enough to inform you when the Ninjas make an exit (or so we think).

Edited by SoAnnoying: 8/28/2016 8:40:06 PMI think you missed the point. "Free speech on the internet" means WikiLeaks is 'free' to say and posts anything they want and there is very little anyone can do about it. But, the 'internet' does not control the 'free speech policies' of individual Web sites. And, here lies the problem; Without the free flow of information how is one to know what is true and what is being coved up..., e.g. who is cheating and who is not...

"Soo where is the "free speech" on these forums?" Good question.... I understand that things can get out of hand with the whole 'name shaming' thing. But, sometimes it seems Bungie wants to stick it's head in the sand and cover up the problems.

To protect the cheaters over the democracy.

That is democracy dumb ass.

"To protect the cheaters over..." Lately, it would seem that way....

If you were a citizen who dropped anonymous information to help the cops, you wouldn't want the police to exercise their power of the first amendment to share your name to said criminal. I'm not saying censor speech, American Citizens have their basic rights. I'm saying you need to have a perspective look at the situation.

"If you were a citizen who dropped anonymous information to help the cops, you wouldn't want the police to exercise their power of the first amendment to share your name to said criminal" Yes..., but, with the police you'll know if there's an arrest. With Bungie what...?

Name and shame brings a ton of unwanted attention to players being name dropped. It sounds like censorship because it kinda is, but absolutely necessary. Without it we would have plenty of upset players dropping names left and right everyday.

It's maritime law at best on these forums.

There isn't any, this is bungies forum :(
