It doesn't matter what scope they use, skilled players will be skilled.
That means skilled in map positioning and planning, not just sniping.

If I'm right Ambush reduces AA by 25 wherein before it only reduced it to 15

Ambush hasn't been changed, it's still -25, short gaze has been changed to 0.
