The First Curse, The Last word, and a single Thorn of a fallen rose.
With the return of thorn in year three there a few things I'd really like to see (Lore wise).
I'd really like more iterations of the infamous story of the last word and thorn. But also year two brought an interesting factor in their story; the first curse. The first curse is said to be the sister gun of the last word, so that means that year one speculations that TLW and thorn are sister guns or one in the same is false.
I'd like to see the origins the TFC and TLW explained. Who wielded it, what happened to it and its wielder. As well as his connection to the man who once held TLW, Jarhen Ward.
I'd also like to know the origin and the creation of Thorn. We know that Dredgen Yor, a rouge hunter who is responsible for multiple murders including Thalor, Pahanin, and Jarhen Ward, but we don't quite know the origin of Thorn's creation. From the looks of it, it resembles a hive like weapon. The green projectile it fires is something that is similar to that of the necrocasm and the touch of malice.

11 RepliesJesus... "The return of thorn" Its still right there, you can go use it in the crucible right now to an effect. Bringing it back/updating it only really makes it a viable combat option for end game pve and pvp content (banner and trials) otherwise.... It never really went anywhere

The more I read about Thorn, the more my hatred against it because of PVP vanishes and what an interesting lore clings to it. I hope Bungie is gonna bring it back to tell the story of how Rose became Thorn.

14 RepliesBump, this is my favorite lore in the game and TFC is my favorite hand cannon And for all of you people saying Dredgen Yor isn't confirmed to be a hunter: you're right technically, but there is much more evidence to support him being a hunter. These are the facts. For all we know he could be a Titan. But odds are he's a hunter.

9 RepliesThere is some insight as to Thorn's origin. It is said to be a weapon of sorrow (or whatever they're called.) Weapons of Sorrow were Guardian weapons that the Hive tampered with and turned into something completely different, but that we then got back. In addition to Thorn, the only other Weapon of Sorrow we have obtained is Nechrochasm.

11 RepliesThorn's lore states it is made of hive origins. As far as TFC, I have my own interpretation. Think like this: TLW is the rival to Thorn. TFC also has a story, but it hasn't happened. It's story is in your hands. Aka, the story hasn't happened yet and you're in charge of it's story.

7 RepliesThe first curse isn't a sister gun, it's a predecessor to TLW. Jaren Ward was murdered by Dredgen Yor. Yes, thorn has hive origins. TLW and Thorn were never speculated to be sister guns, they were called rival guns. Dredgen Yor isn't a confirmed hunter, though I'm pretty sure he is. Anything else?
