I've never owned a plasma but every time an LCD TV of mine got a bad spot it would just get worse and worse. I airways bought cheap ones so to repair it would've cost more than to buy a new one. Thank god for protection plans though

This was not a cheap one. I went from an old box tv to my cousins 72" for a while, then he got it back and i was stuck back with my old tv. I said screw that and bought me a nice one
