You tried to revive that Guardian on the Moon.
You find his dead ghost about 200ft from his body.
Ghost revives work as such. A ghost can grab hold of the Light within you and remake your body with which to store it in. Think of your Light as being like your soul. Sunsingers using Radiance have learned how to pull their own Light out of the aether and thus are able to revive themselves. This is pretty impressive as doing such is like trying to open a door while standing on top of the door (assuming it's a floor door). When Guardians die for good it's because the Light within them was extinguished. With no Light there is nothing for a ghost to bring back.
This actually happened to Eris. Due to her extended exposure to the Hive the Light has been drained from her and she no longer has any powers as a Guardian. If she were to die you could not resurrect her.
So yes, Eris has no soul.
I was positive the reason she can't come back after her next death was because the hive captured her ghost when she was down there, not because she lost her light.

Any ghost can revive any Guardian. Your Ghost has tried to revive other Guardians multiple times in the story.

Edited by Pyremir: 8/4/2016 5:14:37 PMI was under the impression that my ghost was scanning them in those situations not trying to revive them, from what I gathered from the lore a ghost must bond with the light in a guardian to revive them. So if a guardian lost their ghost they wouldn't be able to be revived unless another ghost chose them, or in another case Dredgen yor told his ghost to leave severing their bond and the ghost chose Shin Malphor afterwards.

Read the objective.
-
I cannot find the card you speak of.
-
Because it isn't one.
-
Then what are you talking about?
-
Open your ghost. Look at the upper left to see what your current objective is.
-
I see, I will do that next time I am on then.

"Eris, get your rock off my map"
