Void has always struck me as the "dark light," to borrow from "It" or "Metalocalypse." It's the light at the edge of the black hole. It's The Light represented as gravity instead of heat or electricity.

I agree completely. Possibly there may be some other cosmic connection we're missing(ex: Void could be the boundary between reality and the Veil).
