It seems like lag.
He probably gave you the shotgun melee.
That's why he got the overshield and survived your swing.

Edited by yeezus: 7/16/2016 11:46:54 PMNa, he melees me at the same time i swipe him, but my swipe doesnt connect and his melee does. His overshield procs, i hit him, he shotguns me. He couldn't have shotgunned me before, he was trying to snipe me and I closed the distance faster.
