Lore-wise, Shoulder Charge is actually the result of weaponizing the Titan's failed attempt to Blink. Given that they are clad in a half-ton of Armor, they break the sonic barrier instead of teleporting, which is going to -blam!- up a lot of things they ram into.
Edit: There actually is no lore. I'm a no-good liar who is bored and loves Shoulder Charge, so I made up a story for it
Post-Edit: I've heard whispers of a Shoulder Charge story like this being in the Grimoire. Will look for it. If it's in there, then that means this isn't my story.
