Could Overwatch win GOTY? Currently a 94 on metacritic!
Overwatch is a perfect example, as to why fun gameplay is the most important factor in any game.
This is an awesome shooter. A totally fresh experience on current gen consoles, extremely polished.
I know that it appears bare bones, you've to ask yourself is it worth full retail, how long will you be playing this game? Quality over quantity IMO, has a diverse set of characters that all play differently.
The content is also coming for free guy's. This is a top game for anyone who was getting bored of the FPS scene. It will rekindle your passion for shooters, has that all important addictive gameplay. Metacritic score in link below...

3 RepliesMy problem with Overwatch is the price. It is an extremely fun game, especially with friends, but the $60 on console, even if it comes with some skins, isn't justifiable or reasonable to me. $40 for Origins Edition/Console and $30 for game only makes more sense to me. Hopefully the $60 will be made up with loads of free DLC. I don't regret getting it, but I feel like I'm not getting the same bang for buck from a $60 game that I've gotten with other games the same and even lower price.

1 ReplyOverwatch doesn't get GOTY, that's just absurd. Definitely in the running for shooter of the year, but a game is about a story, an adventure, a purely epic tale. Overwatch is a blast, but if it were to get GOTY I would prolly have to find a new favorite hobby because obviously gaming has lost it's touch with it's roots. My hope is already lost in humanity, don't take gaming away from me too. [spoiler]Final Fantasy XV will be my saving grace.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyIt's too soon to say any game for goty. So far I'm pulling for Uncharted 4. Overwatch MIGHT not do to it being original which its just the new breed of tf2 types of game ( Which I'm stoked about, I love Overwatch) But because of the sheer amount of people playing it right now.

8 RepliesHow is anything about overwatch fresh and new? This is basically a reskin of tf2 for 60 with more characters. There's not a lot of content and the game really isnt fun if you play solo. No sense of competition in it right now as one team usually dominates the game and makes it a quick match. For 60 dollars the division is a better purchase than overwatch.

Same thing has happened with Overwatch. Both games are 90+ critics but are both under 8.0 for users. Why no comments on Overwatch's user score? Again not to be rude but to me it doesn't make sense unless I have missed something. Also just for reference, I think Dark Souls 3 is GOTY so far. That being said I love Overwatch, Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank.

2 RepliesI love this game, but I don't know if it'll be game of the year. Battlefield 1 is coming out, No mans Sky, FF XV, and some other titles that could contend. Plus IMO being multiplayer only hurts it when it has to contend with well rounded games.
