Definitely lag. I have this happen all the time. Though it's usually stormcallers that it seems to effect the most for me

That's lag. It's something i call the Phantom lag. Someone's body will break from their position making them invisible while the body remains somewhere around the map.

As bad as this video looks, I think it's legit lag. I searched this guys history and it doesn't seem like cheating. I think you were experiencing the worst lag a game has to offer. One sign was when you were punching him over and over again. This is lag. On your screen, he is near you or across from you. On his screen, I am pretty sure he was in your face but the game couldn't tell you this due to connection to host.

9 RepliesThe only time i have ever seen anyone hacking in destiny was during a patrol. This guy broke the boundaries on the map and was exploring out of the cosmodrome. That's the only practical form of hacking i can see, because Bungie made these huge worlds and we can only play a tiny bit of it.

Wait you know what? I bet that's what it looks like when you're on the receiving end of someone who got stuck in that "Invincible but can only get kills with grenades" glitch nonsense. There's videos of people who can only get kills with grenades or supers, others can even continue shooting their weapons. I don't think that guy was cheating, ahaha.

What makes me laugh, you will still get some destiny d!ck rider making an excuse and not call it hacking. The crucible id full of hackers doing this. Also there is a massive amount of snipers shooting through walls from the other side of the map and killing you. But have no fear THE DAMAGE REFEREE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!! Sort it out bungie before the crucible becomes a ghost town!!!!!!!!! It would be good if bungie would publicly ban this scumbag.
