I understand your reasoning with your post, but let me help you understand your mistake. You admitted to quitting strikes in order to get the one you wanted. Whatever, I'm sure everyone here has done it at least once for whatever reason. However, you had to know this comment was going to grind people's gears. They don't give a crap about your opinion on what the devs should do. All they saw was that you quit strikes to get what you want.
If you truly wanted your post to be about changing the way you can access this specific strike and not piss a bunch of people in this game off, you would have just stated that you wish bungie would have designed a way to access this specific strike directly instead of through a playlist. That's all. But instead, you had to keep going and create some friction with a lot of people here. So please, stop arguing with everyone that doesn't agree with your game play because each of them has a valid point as well. You made the mistake of creating drama in the original post.

Respectfully, I disagree with you. I think that everyone voicing how pissed off they are, and how much they hate me for backing out only helps to show how necessary it is that we are able to select these activities on demand. I think it will also show Bungie that it was a mistake to only make these activities available via a playlist because in doing so, they have created a situation where more people are backing out of strikes than ever before. I have made posts in #feedback before. They always seem to fall on deaf ears. Also, I never intended to rustle any jimmie's in this post lol. Just so happens that there are a large number of people who feel very passionate about people backing out of strikes. I knew it was an issue before, and Bungie even nerfed the Valus strike because of people backing out, but that was the last thing on my mind when I wrote the post.

Valid point. I do agree with your original point though. They can't dangle this new strike in front of everyone and then make it very hard to play. However, isn't that what Destiny is? An RNG based game to get the things you really want lol

I'm with the OP on this one. When you add such limited content once every 4-7 months, you should not have to jump through RNG hoops to access it.

True. I just feel like having to go through rng to find a strike, then go through rng to maybe get cool gear is a bit too much like Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio. Rng inside rng inside rng lol.
