What's the most challenging raid task for you?
I'm currently bored AF in pve doing the same thing - raid, sherpa, CoE/PoE etc... so I'm reminiscing over those past duties we had done in raids.
Which one for you is/was harder?
I picked the Templar relic. Carrying that thing and running around while being shot at was intense back then.

Being Swordbearer is difficult. You need to trust your teammates that they will make him kneel the moment you are at his feet.

3 RepliesJust getting a KF completion before 1 or more people have something come up irl and have to split. I have limited time and can't sit in the raid waiting on others to join. Has happened to me every time I decided I wanted to give in and raid KF. Used to raid VoG and CE regularly. Now I'm one of the last remaining members of my 3rd clan and it's a complete crap shoot for me to complete anything requiring a fireteam. Some NFs I can totally solo, but it just takes so much damn time.

Nowadays I still can't get Golgoroth's gaze and not get hit once (OK I still live, but it seems more challenging for me than anything else). Running the Aegis is easy for me on Templar and Atheon, although I prefer Atheon. Swordbearing is right below GG (KF) in terms of difficulty for me, as in I am so close to dying by the end of it but I can dish out mad damage beforehand. Relic Running in KF is the easiest thing on this list.

For some reason I have trouble with the Gaze. Everything else isn't a problem though.

I'd say templar was the most fun, oryx I want to be the runner on daughters so we don't end up wiping from oblivious people.

If you are talking about back in the day when first doing it, I'd say atheon relic. Id either be sniped on mars sometimes or I'd twitch hit the corner button and the shield would pop then be on a cooldown. Everyone died once. Didn't happen since then lol. Now it's golgoroths gaze. It isn't hard to hold but I can't tell you how many times I've missed 3 black spindle shots back to back and the bubble was already dropped. Most times it's a teammates fault for not hiding or jumping to Titan bubble. Some times it's the teammates in general just sucking. Other times I'm sucking it up.

Templar relic was harder than atheons relic back in the day, but I found atheons relic harder because everyone was so uptight and nervous about failing. Getting booted from a raid team was way more common back then. Luckily I was booted probably only twice, whereas I witnessed it very very often.

Sword bearing hard mode crota. I had people messaging me non stop to come run sword for them cause they were stuck at crota. Never had that happen on any other portion of any raids.

Sword was more difficult because it relied on timing between sword bearer and ledge monkeys. The other things...no sweat and no fails.

Sword bearing was the only one that you had to account for when lfging a group. You never saw "looking for relic runner at templar cp" posts on lfg. All the other roles someone on the team just did. Sword bearer had to be found when putting together a group. Unless you wanted to spend a long time wiping while someone learned how to do it.

Of all the relics in the game, Crota's sword is the only one where you do more than your teammates! All the other relics have your teammates doing more work/objectives than you when you look at the mechanics. Templar - You kill ads & maybe an oracle... they kill oracles, ads, create orbs, get out of a bubble & shoot Templar. Atheon - You hold the bubble in front of Atheon, they shoot oracles, clear supplicants keep the portal open, kill the minotaur and finally shoot Atheon. Warpriest - You kill 5 enemies, and try to shoot at WP in between, they land headshots on WP with non stop DPS... hunters have to land tethers to keep the DPS high while others dip into the weapons bubble. Golgoroth - You shoot a few orbs, they have to shoot golgoroth's stomach while making sure they don't blow up teammates. Oryx - Runner jumps on platforms, everyone else has to kill their ogres & ads. With Crota, they just need to fire rockets. The swordbearer has to avoid countless thralls & time their jumps against Crota to get in all their hits & escape without dying.

Done them all. All fairly easy. But for the hardest it would be Sword Bearing. That was the only person people blamed when you wipe at Crota back in the days on Crota being somewhat difficult. (Unless someone else blatantly dies obviously) Every other role works in tandum with everyone else...the sword kinda does...but it still leaves more on one person.
