April Update Ruined Stillpiercer
This post is a lament for a gun I loved. Is there a gun you miss? Could be any gun nerfed by prior updates.
I previously posted about how I miss being able to quick scope and then proceeded to generalize about sniping. So many responses centered around the audacity they saw in my post, believing that I felt the update "unfair". It was not my intent. I like the update for balance, not saying it is perfect but it made other weapons more viable. I'd just like to focus on how over the 1.5 years of Destiny there has been guns we loved that suffered at the hands of the nerf/buff machine. Stillpiercer and lord high fixer were 2 guns I loved that lost their appeal after updates. Sure they were ridiculously unbalanced and OP but doesn't mean I wasn't having a blast using them. Anyone else miss a gun?

Edited by Cleat: 4/20/2016 11:22:37 AMIn preparation to the update, I switched over to using a Y1 P&T in PVP for the week prior. Adjusting to the ridiculous zoom was annoying to say the least. But after the update, switching back to still piercer and 1000yard/ambush, I didn't even notice the zoom increase. My sniping hasn't been affected one bit. The one thing I have noticed is the nerf to the ammo economy. It has just forced me to work on my gear build a bit more though. Edit. I missed Hawkmoon terribly prior to the update. Now that it's back, I feel like it's only a matter of time before it's needed once again.
