Fallout 4 is one of the best games of last year, however it's certainly not the best. I think most people that have been playing Bethesda Game Studios titles for awhile and also played most of the big games of last year will acknowledge that Fallout 4 wasn't pushing any envelopes. Games like Bloodborne, MGSV, and certainly The Witcher 3 were more impressive.
I certainly think Fallout 4 is a great game. Not going to argue that. I think it should get a nod as a nominee for best game of 2015. But it has shown that maybe BGS's success is making them a little soft. Guys like CDPR are out Bethesda-ing Bethesda.

Yeah it's definitely not a game you can just jump into. I think that's a rule of thumb with RPG's in general versus a shooter that's much easier to jump into.
