In the stream the guy using doctrine was still doing 16 damage to the head so this "nerf" may wind up having no practical effect in crucible.

Only low RoF got a buff. Mid-impact autos were unchanged.

Correct. Mid impact autos will always be the middle ground in terms of power & RoF, which makes them technically worse than each other type at something. Best at nothing, worst at nothing. They're already in a good place.
