Is Lord Of Wolves Secretly Good?
Lord Of Wolves Blends is the opposite of Queenbreakers Bow. Queenbreakers Bow blends Fusion Rifle and Sniper Rifle while Lord Of Wolves blends Shotguns and Fusion Rifles. By reimaging the "cone" of Fusion Rifles as a 5 shot burst of weaker slugs. It isn't an instant kill, but it severly outranges many year 2 shotguns, giving it and edge at range. It carries ALOT of ammo, and can melt people in their supers when used right. Capable of Precision shots to deal even more damage, its arguably one of the most versatile weapons, and its fast fire rate can make up for missed shots, and can make multi kills happen
It lacks the charge time of Fusion Rifles, which is great, but has less range. But Like Fusion Rifles, it's about keeping your aim on them.
Using Lord Of Wolves requires you to Dance around enemies, and keep the reticule on them.
Lord Of Wolves is not only my Favourite weapon in Destiny, it is a SEVERELY underestimated gem that needs a bigger Fanbase
Edit: I'm referring to the newest meta. Were typical shotgun ranges are massively lowered
Edit: What I will say against it is that it suffers from ghost shots due to its tiny range stat

I would say lord of wolves combines shotguns and pulse rifles, not fusions.

In the right hands, in crucible, it was a monster.

It's farely decent with the right hands and extremely fun to use. However for an exotic it's weak. Definitely not worth the exotic slot. If you're looking to just mess around and have fun though it's not a bad gun.

Omg I love the Lord of Wolves. I'm glad that I'm not the only only one, but one of the few who absolutely adore it. As soon as i got my hands on it, I fell in love. It took the place of my hawkmoon as my most used exotic in year one. When I saw that it is returning, I couldn't hold my excitement. I can't wait till April 12th. The moment I land in the tower after the update, I am running straight to the exotic blueprints to pick up my Lord of Wolves.

You should all focus your efforts on finding a functional weapon that isn't a flaming log of disappointment (and a total waste of an exotic spot, may I add). Forget about this atrocity... [spoiler]If you have it, well, you know I'm clearly being truthful.[/spoiler]

Had more range than a felwinter sniper in House of wolves, so yes it is good

Not really because it takes time for the projectiles to reach them and other shotguns are hitscan. You would be killed in many situations where you wouldn't with a regular shottie.

1 ReplyDefinitely not a secret. Prior to the shotgun nerf it was absolutely fantastic. I'd also personally say it was more akin to a pulse rifle rather than a fusion rifle.
