Could you both please try the following:
1. Power down your console and unplug it for about five minutes;
2. Restart your router while the console is unplugged. This can be done by unplugging and plugging back in your router;
3. Once your router is fully up and running again, plug your console back in and start it up;
4. Test everything out and report back to me!

Nothing else is wrong, internet is fine, we can join other teams, we can go to the tower, shoot sht, its when we go to join specifically o each other that it doesn't work.. It's when I, drdoomsdaughter try to join o smitty101101

Could you still please try those steps? If that doesn't fix it, then it's probably a restriction in your network settings and you'll have to contact your ISPs on the issue. We don't deal with that sort of stuff here since we don't have access to any of those resources.
