Thrice, only thrice have I been kicked. Once was by a squeaker in The Dark Below days, once was when me and my random team have gotten to Skolas, and I know the other was for something PVP related. I played most of Y1 without a mic, only kind of started using one recently. Made some good friends. Good times.

Never been kicked for not using a mic, I always put that I don't in LFG ads, and I have pretty decent PvE stats, I can hold my own, and carry for most activities.

I've never used a mic and look where I am. If you have the skill and the experience, it's not an issue. I don't actually get booted that often.

I will absolutely never understand why some people don't have a mic.. I'd rather eat my dualshock 4 than play without one. Especially for a game like Destiny. Edit: for people saying: i will never get the full experience.. Newsflash..!! No you won't without a mic. Even if you raid/trials.

I have no mic but I can get the job done. I developed a reputation among a few of my friends. They would vouch for me as I am good in Crucible. I actually almost went Flawless first time in Trials before we met a Universal Remote / Sniper trio

More than 30. Whenever I do raid tho, on all the bosses I do highest dps and try to carry more than my own weight on totems. No mic does not mean no skill. Perhaps they are mutes, maybe they just had to sell it to make a little bit of money for their bills. I hate it when mic-less raiders are underestimated. I have a mic, but would get booted even more because of being a "squeaker". Squeakers should not be underestimated either. I am not one of those too quiet or overly talkative squeakers. I know what I am doing and only speak when necessary. My usual raid team ( which has for the most disbanded) even told me I was more experienced and skilled than them (not more skilled than everyone obviously). In the end, my point is, we shouldn't be underestimated because we are deaf, mutes, squeakers, drunk, etc. Everyone deserves a chance to prove their worth, not thrown to the curb without being given a chance, not being sent to the pound before showing we can succeed and meet requirements. Being biased is understandable, but please, give all players a chance. It is understandable if you need it done as fast as possible, but sometimes a person without a mic, or anybody else is the best option. Please do not claim my post is invalid simply because of being a squeaker. Sometimes, very rarely though, a squeaker has something well thought through and meaningful to say. Why not use a mic tho. I'd say it's different for pvp. It would help but not necessarily needed. But for kings fall it's crucial to use a mic. If Sony and Microsoft give you one for free with each console why not use it.

I've done everything without a mic just fine. As long as you know what to do you'll be fine. Honestly I would rather play with other people with no mic then someone that thinks there better than everyone and rages like every 5 seconds

I usually give them a chance but if they keep -blam!-ing up its the good ol boot

The problem isn't the lack of mic it's the worry that something won't be fully understood an mistakes will be made

Raiding without a mic is a hindrance to your team. You may be very good at raiding but if you can't make callous to help your tesm, in my eyes your useless dead weight. Xbox came with a mic, destiny is a social rpg... quit going against the grain with no reason
