how many times have you been kicked BEFORE you have even played a single run (or just being denied cause you told them you didn't have a mic)? i think i have been around 120 times, and im 319 on my main, 316 on my titan, and 314 on my warlock ( and i promise you i am very good at raiding).
My KD is low cause my brother plays 6 v 6 on this account, He is awful, so my KD sucks. chill out on trying to find my "faults". it makes you look insecure.
Edit: talk about judging a book by its cover! I have been flawless 7 times in year 2, have a 319, a 317 and a 314, i have scarab, and people still think a mic is required for activities! Seriously, if you think someone needs a mic before you know how skilled they are, maybe you are the low skilled one.
Edit" i Just beat oryx challenge twice on tuesday so it is irrelevant
Edit: YEAH, i have ****ing 15 dollars, i just really don't like using a mic and id rather not blow money on a useless piece of junk

3 RepliesSo. If nobody uses a mic in raid, how do you: - callout the glyph sequence at warpriest? - agrees on order of Golgoroth gaze holders for the golgoroth challenge? -find out what platform to sub in on when somebody is torn between dimensions at sisters?

9 RepliesEdited by Pengu: 2/17/2016 8:36:59 PMI did kings fall raid with like 170 (270) light with ought a mic just to prove that raids aren't too hard, don't need mices, and would be fine with matchmaking (I didn't kill anything but I did play the objective) Edit: I was using my friends account cus he had low light gear I checked with him it was 270 (I remembered 70) I didn't deal any damage and died a lot

Considering at least current gen comes with a mic idk why its so hard to have one... and you can get a cheap one for last gen for like 10-20 bucks
-
I think it's best to communicate with fellow gamers during raid.
-
One of our clan members ran without a Mic for the longest time. But he is also one of the most skilled players we have. Communication does help though, it makes everything a lot smoother in most situations.
-
Quite a few, but I've been 319 on all characters since my mic broke. This has probably minimized the no mic issue since most reasonable folks think I know what I'm doing.
-
0. I don't speak and I ain't micless but I just don't use it much...

Yesterday morning I did 2 full hard mode runs including oryx challenge without using my mic. It was at reset time, everyone else in my house was asleep so I couldn't talk. After those 2 runs, I figured it was a fine time to use my mic. Keep in mind, all the people I raided with that morning were randoms off the forums. We ended up beating hard oryx challenge on all 3 toons. No hard helmet :( 320 Hand Cannon, 320 Scout, both of which I infused into my touch of malice which is now 320, and I also got a 320 Smite with life support

Many times :( I can't find a team that can get me to the lighthouse. I'm the only good player on the team. :( some1 help me go flawless on ps3 Add testsubject121

2 RepliesEdited by OurDeeJay: 2/17/2016 3:12:53 AMI like that edit, this guy gets it. I've never played with a mic and me and my squad have started to go to the lighthouse weekly, even got some of the hard mode raid done yesterday. If you know what you're doing a mic isn't necessary

I'd kick u. U need to evaluate your life if your so broke u can't afford a £15 headset. I'd be out looking for a job or better job if I couldn't afford that, I spend more than that on lunch n a coffee daily for -blam!- sake.
-
I've played a few times without a mic (Sometimes my kid steals my headset when she watches cartoons on the tablet or whatever.) But never got kicked before.. probably because of my higher characters or the fact that i message that my kid grabbed the mic and in case of an emergency i would take it back.
-
If you don't have a mic then don't expect people to let you play a team based game mode. Simple as.
-
2 RepliesIve kicked plenty of people for not having mic. Shouldn't even have to put that as a raid requirement it should be known. You own a console and internet so you cant say you cant afford a $10 mic. Hell the console comes with a free mic.
-
It's called communication
-
1 ReplyI will always kick anyone without a mic. makes it a true cluster-blam!-, just like raid matchmaking would.

5 RepliesEdited by Impurity41: 2/17/2016 3:36:00 AMIt's not that. Personally I like to talk with my group in a raid or trials. I don't care if you went flawless, I like hearing the group's opinions and strategies. Xbox users should get a mic with the purchase of their Xbox and if they don't, then buy the headset you were supposed to get for, at the most, $10 Ps4 users. I bought my mic for $40 and I love it. I know there are some cheap ones out there. Regardless, this conversation is not about money. The problem is this: 1) do you have a ride to the store? Your own car? Your parents perhaps? 2) how lazy are you that you won't take the time to go to the store and get that mic. Not having a mic is an inconvenience to new people. I'm not an asshole for saying that either. It's common facts. Most people will not play with you if they cannot strategize with you, regardless how good you are.
-
Its about overall team comunication not skill and you are a jackass for not being able to see the bigger picture.
-
It all really depends on he group. How many don't have mics? How skilled is everyone else? How many times have the others done the raid? These, among others, all factor in to the whether or not a mic - less person will get kicked...
try to doing the next new raid with a group of randoms and no mics. See how far that gets you...
5 RepliesI'm here to make friends, not play with a NPC

Putting your light levels like not having a mic has any sort of impact on RNG, haha.
-
If you don't know what you're doing and don't use a mic, i have no sympathy for you
-
0 Because I have a mic, peasants.

1 ReplyI don't give a damn if you don't have a mic. As long as you listen and do what you're told and hold your own, you're fine.

It costs $30 to buy a mic bruh. C'mon now.
