Edit 2: Both Years are bad. But Year 1 was simply worse.

Sorry year one was so much better. I remember crucible was enjoyable now year 2 it's buggy and frustrating as shit. Miss the old exotics. Grinding was more competitive.

Year one had a lot of problems. We thought there were improvements in HOW but all of those were removed in TTK. The storytelling was an improvement but the RNG leaves much to be desired. Year two can be better than year one if Bungie cares to make it so. Right now it's arguing apples and oranges. They are both fruit. The game needs meat.

Y2's upgrade system is awesome. But the weapons suck. There's no stand out weapons.

Idk man the end of year one with etheric light so you could use any armor or gun you wanted was pretty cool, year 2s just a bummer because it made everything obsolete again

Year 2 is better but year 1 was more fun. Levelling up 3 different players. Raiding. The anticipation of the weekly reset. Then it all fell apart. If destiny had released all of year 1 when the game first released it would have been the greatest game for me.

I would prefer to turn back the clock to Year 1. Destiny's great days. I had way more fun experiences in Year 1. Met better people. Made grinds seem less... Grinding. And at the end of it all, it was actually worth it. Like thorn, doing the bounty for that. Invective etc. Now in Year 2, we have new exotics to "grind for". I managed to get TLALOC in probably a quarter of the time it took me to get any year 1 legendary from a bounty. I just generally don't like how Year 2 works. I miss year1

TTK was a fantastic addition and really increased the quality of the game. The only problem is the new light system which makes the endgame less replayable.
