I have told people time and time again there IS NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT BUT LAG! Lag is the core of and the only real issue. It causes everything people whine about.

Part of the problem is that when people (and I include myself here) say LAG, it implies something that is somewhat nebulous and out of the developers control therefore the developer does nothing. After all, they already did 'something' when the made the game.....and the current tools seemed to work before for most of the people...or maybe not 'most'..... I'm suggesting they implement more intricate and detailed tools/mechanisms to help determine why this 'LAG' is actually warping the player experience.

Or hire someone that can accurately translate the players play data...

Edited by Rufnek2014: 1/8/2016 9:34:47 PMI don't think the issue is that simple. :/ I think they think they have all the data they need but I believe the collection point is incorrect and thereby incomplete. Meaning the actual collection does not include real world end point results (or maybe enough end points-I'm not privy to their collection practices) or effects of their semi-P2P networking on the code itself. They would need multiple capture & verification points in the code. Doesn't matter how many people they hire to review code. They would all come to the same conclusion based on the lack of information even thought it 'looks' like they have everything they need to make the decisions.

If you think they don't have telemetries on all the players you are fooling yourself. These numbers can be used to fix the game as they are the numbers from the people actually playing it.
