  • Nope, but it is one of THE major games that other AAA title developers are using as their beta test. Like I said I have no dog in the fight. Purely info

  • I'm pretty sure the concept has been fleshed out for awhile now.

I didn't write the article. Just simply saying the creative director of a major studio literally said he is looking to destiny to see what he will do next.

  • That makes absolutely no sense for something that will probably be purely about PvP to follow a game that is trying to be a lukewarm MMO. They should be looking to CS or CoD to see what their market does for similar items.

  • He should look at CS specifically as it probably sells tenfold what destiny does, maybe even more

  • Ah, I would say they are not using counter strike as a model bc its not on consoles. PC gaming is a different kind of market

Same premise with how to focus their transactions for thegame. If they need a closer fit, team fortress might be good as well.

  • Loved TF2. That's what got me interested in battleborn and overwatch to begin with. I don't recall MTs in TF2 though

  • It is riddled with micro-transactions.

  • That must have never made it to the console version. I did hear there were several updates that never made it to Xbox. I didn't realize it was MTs On a related note blizzard has gone on record stating they will not charge for character and map updates. This will be an interesting year to see which one is more successful given their similarities

  • Eh, read the whole article. It's really a fusion of games. Actually that is really the focus of the article is that Battleborn is much more than a colorful CoD. It has elements of... FPS RTS MMO Tower defense Just to name some off the top of my head. Which is why I have been following that and Overwatch for some time now. Destiny is becoming a model for an industry. I think it's because they are also trying to span multiple genres and are doing it successfully.
