U kno, 343 has only made halo games that have had 0 actual halos in them. And no flood.
Edit: k Mr Skeltal pointed out that ther was a halo after all.
And quite honestly, i hope the next halo is the last. Ever.

A) There was a Halo B) Flood have only a little bit been killed off. Why do you want them to continuously resurrect the same old villain for each entry?
-
AAAAAAAAA - old
They'll be returning next game. If not, it only further proves how horrible their writers are. -
That makes no -blam!-ing sense at all dumbass. "The killed off enemy will return or else the writers suck". I guess the next Star Wars will suck if Darth Vader doesn't come riding in on a Death Star 3.

AAAAAAAAA - old
Woahk. Did you, like, read Escalation, or what? -
Not recently. What I remember from it is doubtful to introduce the flood as extremely necessary and viable again. Reintroducing the flood would be forced as hell for the series.

At the end of one of the story arc's, they showed a single flood spore sitting inside of the Spirit of Fire. -
A halo was in both 4 and 5, just didn't really play a roll besides exposition. In 4 it was at the part when chief was chasing the didect at the space station. I'm 5 it was in the legendary ending teasing halo 6, where it will most certainly play a large roll
343 has only made halo games that have had 0 actual halos in them
Installation 03 m8
-
Which one is that?
-
The installation that appeared in Halo 4. It was in the mission where dildact rekt the eggheads
-
Yes every game must involve a halo ring and the flood. This combination can never get old and the franchise will never need something new to reinvigorate it
-
Cos all 343 has done is make Prometheans and use them in every mission.
-
Cos all Bungie has done is make the flood/Halo rings and use them in every mission.
-
Hey wait, i sense im being a hypocrite...
-
Halo reach has no flood and halo rings, what's your point?
-
Reach was basically a prequel to the Halo games. If you look at the beginning cutscene in halo 2 the captain guy will point out the ships that made it back from reach and how what was left was very little. It's probably from the mission "lone wolf" in reach where the covenant brought a mass army to reach

Edited by Esko: 11/30/2015 9:10:42 PMBut Reach was fine. A break from the flood was nice but we havent seen them since 3. We havent seen next-gen flood yet! It would look so cool!
-
Three games so far without flood is too many
-
Forgot about odst, that's four
-
I'm talking about in a row. The last three Halos made have been three Halos, in consecutive order, that have not had flood.
-
Edited by Matt Boy52: 12/1/2015 5:14:03 AMIn terms of the story, I think we're past the Flood, I just don't see a reason to continue having the Flood as the one of the main threats anymore. I feel trying to implement the Flood back in after Chief destroyed them and the Gravemind in Halo 3 would just feel tacky and out of place as well as make a major part of the original trilogy's story feel somewhat meaningless in my opinion.
-
They brought Cortana back, frankly I don't think 343i is against being tacky.
-
Edited by Matt Boy52: 12/1/2015 10:43:54 PMI'm not entirely convinced they brought her back solely because fans wanted her back though. We'll see what happens in a few years when Halo 6 comes out. I got a little feeling they may have planned on her becoming a Forerunner enemy since Halo 4. And if you go way back, that was actually the original planned out story for Halo CE.
-
It is indeed true that Cortana was planned as an Antagonist, but it wasn't planned that she should "die" before taking over the role. As you can see, separating the two for a while easily worked out. The vocal majority was against Cortana being back following Halo 4, saying that one of the few unanimously good scenes was her final goodbye, and bringing her back would just be cheap. Look how that turned out.

Sorry when I was reading your mind I forgot about how you meant in a row
