It's not 'only black lives matter', as some would frame the argument. It's 'black lives matter as much as white lives' but that's a bit long, isn't it? So, remember please that no one is saying anyone's better than anyone else or deserves more, it's about recognizing that we live in a system where 'white' is not only the default, but to be other than white carries genuine risks. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts. Unless you're a proponent of right-wing fever dream media, finding facts and statistics on race and policing, education, home and auto loan lending, job seeking, etc. is depressingly easy. But you have to be willing to look.

  • What FACTS do you speak of? Here are some facts for you in terms of race vs police. As for everything else, I live in a balanced race city, 40%white, 40%black, 15%latino, 5%other. For white people there are certain areas of the city you just dont go into, because of the risk of being -blam!-, mugged, attacked, or murdered. Now are these isolated areas and incidents that occur? Yes, and a majority of the community looks at it that way, and thats why you don't see movements started to protect white lives. People would look at that as racist. So what's the difference? The black community deliberately segregates itself, commitedly and regularly, and are still the ones who consistently recreate race issues as if they're victims. Why can't we all just be Americans, people, neighbors, coworkers, etc.

  • Right wing fever dream media? Wow, did we get a public school indoctrination, *cough* I mean education? You do realize that it was the Republican Party that was founded for a single issue, right? The ending of slavery. It was the Democrats that implemented Jim Crow laws and founded the KKK, NOT the Republicans. It was the Democrats that filibustered the 1957 civil rights legislation and if it wasn't for 84% of the Republicans that voted for the 1964 civil rights act, it wouldn't have passed. The left wing plantation masters have turned the 1964 civil rights law into "legalized" slavery! Think about it. They have destroyed the black family, they told black women that the government will take care of their children instead of promoting two parent families. They promote single parent families. They incentivize the mom raising her kid(s) by herself so she can get money, food and housing from the government in exchange for her vote. They flood the public school system with a teacher's union that cares more for the teachers than they do about the education of the child. They teach that the government is supposed to take care of you, IT ISN'T! They teach kids that because conservatives believe that children need 2 parents and that the government is supposed to protect people from other people and NOT from themselves, that they are evil and don't care about them. It couldn't be farther from the truth. Conservatives want the black family reestablished. You have only a 17% chance of ending up in poverty if you grow up in a 2 parent home, don't have a child before marriage and finish high school. Without those three things? You have a 63% chance you will end up in poverty. So exactly which side is pushing for or keeping people in poverty? The left doesn't care about minorities, they care about power. THEIR POWER! The U.S. spends almost $10,000 per student for public schools, more than any other nation except for Sweden or Finland, I don't remember which, sorry, but if you hear the left tell it, we need to spend more money. Haven't you ever noticed that the left's solution to EVERY problem, is more money and more control of our lives for them? Higher taxes don't hurt rich people, they hurt middle class people. They hurt small businesses, they hurt single moms trying to provide for their families because everything is more expensive. Milk, bread, cereal, gasoline, electricity and everything else that touches our lives become more expensive. If it costs a company more to do business, then it costs more for people to purchase that product or service. Rich people will still be able to buy things. Poor people won't. So every time you hear Hillary or Bernie say they need to spend more money on something, just remember, it means YOU will pay more for something. The problem isn't so much as Democrat or republican, the problem is progressivism. Progressives believe in central planning. They believe in social engineering. They believe that they can run your life better than you can. They believe that we are too stupid to be able to make it without their help. Progressives are nothing different than communists but without the violent revolution. They do it with handouts and votes. Just look to Europe, is that what you want? You need to turn off MSNBC and look around the real world with your own eyes. Hopefully one day, you will see what they have been feeding you only serves their purpose, not yours. Google "Lenin on how to destroy the West". Or buy Saul Alinsky's book Rules for Radicals and you will see what the left have been doing to us all. Oh and by the way, about the OP, really? We're going to let a word, especially the incorrect pronunciation of a word, hurt our feelings? Have we become that damn sensitive in this society? GOD help us all. We don't stand a chance against the jihadists.

  • Start here: http://www.bloomberg.com/bw/articles/2014-12-04/birth-of-the-southern-strategy This will explain why the whole 'Republicans freed the slaves, therefore no racism' argument is an easy straw man to disassemble, again by using facts, and from Bloomberg, certainly not a 'liberal' source (unless the issue is gun control). You don't have to buy the writer's stance but you cannot refute the writer's facts. Move on to: http://www.justice.gov/sites/default/files/opa/press-releases/attachments/2015/03/04/ferguson_police_department_report.pdf Again, please look to the facts and figures in the report. It's dry reading but paints a pretty clear picture. Could you please site for me the sources for the different percentages you used in your various examples that were part of your main argument? I am eager to investigate for myself.
