Skull of dire Ahamkara vs Sunbreaker
Edit: Nevermind. I won't get an answer on how this occured. I'd like to thank the europeans who have been interacting and contributing to the thread.
To the americans, I have spent 6 hours trying to explain to each and everyone of you, as if I'm talking to a 3 year old that I died from a sunbreakers hammer off splash damage. Despite being mid nova bomb animation with the dire Ahamkara helmet equiped. I simply give up.

Well the perk description just says reduced damage while throwing the Nova Bomb (I don't know the exact English description because I don't play the English version of the game). It doesn't say your invincible. And maybe it was lag and he hit you directly. Or you were low on health. - An European (haha)

6 RepliesAll the people saying did you have max armor, I don't think that matters. I remember back in vanilla days I would run skull and could survive a GG shot with mid throw now even max armor and if I remember correctly a hammer does significantly less then a GG shot

1 ReplyWhen it happens right, it shouldn't kill you. Unfortunately, with a game like destiny, lag happens to be a factor. On your screen it may have looked normal, but he could've already thrown the hammer or whatever. Happens to me sometimes too

You can survive but you probably have to use angry magic void armor and that helmet when your shooting your nova bomb, on a side note you might have been hit by something else as well, maybe before maybe at the same time or maybe you got hit before but you didn't take damage till he hit you because of lag.

Edited by Red Motive: 11/14/2015 5:54:20 PMMaybe you're armour wasn't maxed? Maybe you got shot by someone at the same time? Idk.... There's no damage buff for Sunbreakers besides Sunspot. And that's an AoE so you have to be standing where the hammer lands to be affected.
