Bungie.net has a [b]Locale Setting[/b] which allows you to choose the language you view the website in. Sounds like yours is in Deutsch.
To change this, sign into bungie.net on a desktop or mobile browser. Click your avatar, and hit [b]Settings[/b], which is the second option in the drop-down menu.
The second last option on the left hand side of your profile settings will allow you to change the default language translation.

Thanks for the speedy response :) I found my way to that setting with your help of saying which actual option it was, and found the setting was already at English. So: I switched it to /de/, saved, then switched it back to English and saved again, then found my way to the logout (abmelden), signed back in (with the xbox login page in /de/, as well as bungie.net homepage)... but after logging back in this time it started back staying on the /en/ version of the site :)
