Agreed. I concluded near the end of September that the Wyrms=Amakara and that they manifested in the Garden and produced the ritualistic and religious practices of Vex. I read somewhere that the Vex worship what they don't understand, and it seems that Amakara (pure darkness) is beyond comprehension to them. If this points to anything, it's that the best theory about the Darkness is that it's origin is the Amakara, and they manifest within a species and use them to carry out their bidding. So when it says the Darkness was following the Traveler across the Universe, it meant the Hive lead by Oryx, who was in turn lead by the Wyrms.
Love that Worm and Wyrm connection you made, very insightful.
Ahamkhara != worms. Oryx mentioned the ahamkara, how he hates them using the powers of the darkness so carefree. Ahamkara is yet another species infected by worms and oryx dont like how they behave The hive are just a faction of the minions of darkness. They arent synonymous to the darkness.

The ahamkara have freedom. They are not like oryx or his sister's
-
They are alike in how they are creatures infected by worms. The difference you are pointing out is exactly what makes oryx angry
-
They have freedom, they won't be devoured or the worm gods made the ahamkara

Edited by Zoop: 11/12/2015 11:15:32 PMHence my point, they are still creatures affected by worms. Their relationship seems to be entirely different, we know too little about them as of why thats possible. But fact remains they are mentioned as seperate beings, but certainly connected. My guess is (pure speculation) the ahamkra were already an exceptionslly ruthless and verocious race, it didnt take them much to figure out sword logic. Worms just hitch along for the ride, take some light, give some power. No need for a lifethreatening contract. Forming a symbiosis rather than a parasytic bond.

I feel that the ahamakara are serves of the deep. That they were made to draw other races down into the deep. So they can act as the hosts for the worms. Other wise the worm gods would of been freed by now. They would not need oryx or his sisters to be freed. The ahamakara would of been their hosts.

Edited by Zoop: 11/12/2015 11:27:27 PMWell, ahamkara are supposedly really ancient, perhaps remnants of those locked away in the deep, perhaps a different "tribe" who works width different rules. And i think its entirely feasible that its a race spawned by the darkness itself, maybe specially made to host worms. We simply know too little about them, so we cant really compare it to oryxs situation. Maybe the ahamkara werent really effective, as they couldnt be controlled properly or something (and thus making oryxs hatred justified by motives of the worms, getting rid of a failed experiment). Thats why the worms seek out intelligent life forms to take advantage off. But anyway, its fun to speculate
-
Maybe. we will have to wait. Because they needed hosts. Did not say they were the chosen ones.
-
But didn't Oryx become Oryx after killing his worm to learn the secrets of the deep?
-
He became oryx after "killing" akka his worm god.
-
Uh, no. That's so mixed up I can't even begin to untangle it.
-
Cool. I'm having a hard time caring.

Good job.
