Now what are the chances that either Mara Sov, or one or more of her coven, are Savathûn, or sent by Savathun?

I think the post proves AnonPig's theory to be wrong. All the proof AnonPig used to back up his theory (the Kell saying Mara has two dead souls, how she knows where the Black Garden is, etc.) was better explained in this post and in the continued comments. The simplest answer is Mara is one of the first Awoken and has the ability to see the veil. Most of us didn't take into account that the veil is something more powerful than just seeing beyond the Reef. Don't get wrong, I think AnonPig is great. Some of his theories are spot on and I respect him for sharing, but he's not always right.

I doubt she herself can be Savathun, but I guess it's possible for Savathun or one of her agents could have infiltrated the techeuns.

I've a feeling that Savathûn has been playing a big part in the steps leading up to Oryx's defeat. I'm just not 100% on the particulars

I thought so for a while after reading the Books of Sorrow, but keep in mind that the techeuns and Mara Sov link up telepathically, so it might be very hard to fool them with a disguise, unless that disguise involves having a perfect decoy mind.

True, very valid point.....depending on how long they have been with Mara. They could have infiltrated at the beginning, whenever that was. Of course Mara could also be Savathûn, I'm still not sold that she's not. Keeping in mind that Savathûn is the cunning one.....with 1000's of years of practice. This is my favorite thing about destiny, the lore. You do a fantastic job of presenting it

Plus I believe that certain stanza's of "The gift mast" give us a few clues to go by
