From the 10/05/15 update about Eververse trading: Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests. That doesn't even come close to mentioning dlc.

 • I see that you get it. We just got our first free 'event,' festival of the lost, complete with micro add-ins for the event. If they continue this trend, they'll make a lot of ground with the community...as long as they don't cross the line.

 • Either way it hurts players and the future of gaming. Micro transactions do not belong in AAA games with paid DLC.

 • Personally I don't mind it as long as it's only for cosmetic items. That way it doesn't disadvantage players that can't or don't want to buy them.

 • The problem with that attitude is you accept what is happening now, then a little down the road they slip in small consumables that help buff your individual economy. Then a little more down the road they introduce Tess exclusive armor, then weapons and so on and so forth. It's not a matter of if, but when. Micro transactions do not belong in AAA titles with paid DLC.

 • I don't think that'll happen, I bet Bungie/Activision know full well how far they can take it. They know full well the shitstorm they'll raise if they go to far with it and I'm sure they don't want to risk losing the goodwill they've managed to build up with the playerbase lately. Plus, I'm very sure that they've made (and will continue to make) more than enough money through selling cosmetic items only. As far as I can see, the majority of the players don't have a problem with the microtransactions as long as it stays for cosmetic stuff only and are pretty willing to spend some cash on an emote or two. (Myself included.)

 • Like I said before, it's not a matter of IF it happens, but when. In the end Activision is a company, a company that wants to make money, and the will continue to push the players boundaries. More economy nerfs will happen so they can sneak in consumables to help players buff their drop rates. If you accept it now it will come to bite you later.

 • Well, that's your opinion and I kinda see where you're going with it but I don't agree. I believe they are smarter than that and know full well they'd lose more money (by players leaving) if they ever introduce other than cosmetic stuff for silver. I could be wrong ofcourse, but I don't think so. Guess only time will tell.
