Yes, that is the point of these posts. That's why I use phrases like "may refer to" and "likely." I am not implying certainty nor even a high degree of confidence.

Look at Anonpig's posts for a reference as to how lore posts should go. They should assume as little as possible and rely heavily on grimoire and other in game information for most of the post. In fact, the only assumption should be the overall point of the post.
