Took a look at the trophy stats for The Taken King today (Taken King has its own separate trophy list under Destiny) and spotted two interesting stats:
5.8% of TTK players have beaten Kings Fall
3.0% of TTK players have finished the "Old Hunger" quest for ToM
My Old Hunger trophy includes a screenshot of me accepting my ToM so the trophy 100% represents getting the weapon on at least one of your characters.
I guess fewer people have Touch of Malice, or have raided in general, than you might think.

I have it !!!

9 RepliesThat's part of the reason they made Prison of Elders cause hardly anyone raids. But the answer isn't another game mode. It's either an LFG in game or matchmaking. Even if it's a bad idea it should be an option to matchmake. Maybe they'll match with good players they can party up with.

I am one of them :)

4 RepliesThe direction TTK destiny took was meant for players who dedicate their life to it. TTK and its long quest lines have made me more casual then ever. Everything from having to wait for arms day resets for exotic sword, or any exotic weapon reward. Or collecting materials for Eris, Shaxx, etc makes it all so grueling that I don't really care to do much of what this game offers. There are other things in life I'd rather be doing than wasting my time collecting materials on patrol.

Personally, I just didn't want to spend forever looking for little fragments for a weapon. That just doesn't sound fun.
-
1 Replyi stopped doing the touch of malice quest when i have to go to youtube to find the fragments. why cant fragments have a marker like resources. i mean people are going to find it anyways using youtube why not make it more accessible and giving markers or even a special loud sound that a chest gives when you are near. collecting 45 fragments i feel is not worth touch of malice.

The hardcore really are a tiny fraction of the player base. The carrot just isnt tasty enough for the hours of chasing.
-
To be fair its probably like 20% didnt get past the first mission.. its how games go, theres allot of players that drop instantly

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 10/21/2015 7:23:49 AMYou do know that these percentages encompass all people who have Destiny? Whether they left back in September 2014, borrowed the game off a friend for a few days or the guys who just installed the game on their console, they all contribute to that percentage whether they have TTK or not. If you want to get a more approximate estimate, check how many completed the first TTK Story mission or even the final TTK Story mission and do your math from there.

Edited by AlTrio: 10/21/2015 7:23:49 AMEh. I realise I'm a bit late but those stats don't really mean much in any game. Only 94% of people have done the first quest in rebuilding a jumpship for example, only 75% have reversed a decision made in an upgrade grid. Only 56% have decrypted more then 25 engrams. Only 27% have gotten a full set of legendary and only 23% have completed any of the 3 raids. The list goes on. The trophy stats are always skewed, even more so in a game like Destiny where people have had a year to leave while they're still influencing the stats.

7 RepliesEdited by Yoder023: 10/21/2015 7:17:19 AMI can't speak for everyone, so I'll state facts on myself: - Make $1400 weekly (after taxes) - play only 1 character (usually) - Don't have time to do it all - Work 6 days 10 hours each (sometimes 7 days 12 hours, but that's not too common) So don't have THAT much time, to be honest. I lucked out & found a Raid group yesterday, but that's only cuz I'm sick ATM.
-
3 RepliesConsidering my raid group has 6... id say more than 3% has it
-
72 RepliesPlayStation Players don't deserve the extra content. Only Xbox players know the true destiny of Grindlife
-
2 RepliesThat's because playstation is full of casuals and noobs. That's the way it's been for awhile. That may change soon though.
-
2 Repliesnot everyone wants to use guides... I did but take no pleasure from being a 3% player as it's not legit (IMO)
-
21 RepliesThat's because most playstation players are bad
-
Sadly for me in the 3 times I have tried the raid there is an interruption (mostly because Internet gets bitchy) and then they get with other buds and finish it and when I am able again my team is not complete and cannot get it done. Gotta start looking at LFG apparently.
-
But you also have to remember than 80% of people who ever bought destiny don't play anymore
-
I'm happy to be one of the 3%
-
That's pretty crazy. Is that counting all destiny players on history or only those who are playing or have played recently?
-
1 ReplyLol, I just need to go get 5 more hadium flakes to get it. Just laziness on my part.
-
9 RepliesI think ToM is going to be almost required on hard mode. Its WAY to situational for specific parts of the Kings Fall for it not to be.
-
I just beat kings fall last night XD
-
Some of you ppl are IDIOTS. They say "lalala you're some ass using a gun tht kills u"...... well, sirs and madams, if you understand the lore behind the gun, which is better than the gun itself, you would understand why the shit kills you. Maybe that would teach you dummies that you have to be super careful with it.

Haha I'd rather use the weapon parts on multiple weapons instead of using 50 just to unlock ONE weapon. Nice weapon part nerf bungie. I can't remember the last time I've had more than 15 weapon parts at a time.
