Xylar is a made up second boss after you kill Atheon in the Vault of Glass. I'm not sure who made it up but the community has gone pretty far to make up stories of specific tasks during the raid to get Xylar to spawn. All in all, its a fake boss.

Wtf are you talking about I've done the Xylar raid like 3 times. Clearly someone didn't complete vault of glass normal and hard mode within 10 min of each other, opening up epic vault of glass. After completing that you then have access to the Xylar raid on Mercury. Fricken amateur over here
