But this all depends on the actual size of the levels and how long it takes to complete the story. I just hope the campaign is a couple hours longer than what it was for Halo 4.

H5 will be twice as long as H4. it started out longer

Halo 5 has been confirmed to be twice as long as Halo 4 was.
-
I hope so. I mean, 343i claimed Halo 4 would be as long as the standard halo campaign when in truth it was shorter.
-
It was actually longer than Halo 3's, on average.

Not only that but the small amount of levels just made the campaign seem so rushed. One second Cortana was having her first glitch and then only a couple hours later she was beyond broken. There just weren't enough missions to support the whole characterization that they were trying to go for, and it just seemed to fall short. Hopefully with almost twice the missions were will get to see a lot more of that exposition.

Cortana had been glitching long before that; hell, her mental state falling to pieces is literally the whole point of the Cortana moments in Halo 3. That, coupled with 5 years of isolation aboard the Dawn, and her "first" glitch in Halo 4 is only the first glitch Chief was aware of. Everything that happened to her after that didn't help either.

It was, but from the player's perspective, it might as well have been the first one. We weren't at any point in the game led to believe that her rampancy started long before then. There was so little exposition toward it that the fact of it was basically shoved in our faces. We're were led to believe that rampancy was a very gradual process, however the whole game takes place in about a weeks time and Cortana goes from mostly fine to hopelessly lost so easily. She goes through all stages of rampancy in such a short time that it's just not believable. A few things do happen in the story that seem to rush the process, but again it happens so fast and is never adressed directly. They just did not build enough on that aspect of the story to make it seem dire, until about the 2nd to last mission when everything stops working suddenly. It just felt like they needed more, maybe 2 more missions or cutscenes to really build on the whole situation at hand and get the players more invested.

Huh, I didn't actually know that.

It actually had a good amount of length to it in my opinion. Much longer than Halo 3's at least.

True. Keep in mind, though, that H5 has been made with omnipresent squadmates. Also, one level tends to represent at least one significant plot development. That's how they're constructed around the narrative.
