I heard the stacking made the buff higher.
Where did you get your info from? Did Bungie state as much somewhere? If so I wasted a shit ton already. Damn it.

I used one at a time on Draksis for one full ammo capacity run of rockets just to try it. So 7 runs, seven toc, three exotic engrams (nothing I wanted of course). Gonna try it again before Tuesday cause they'll patch the shit out of this exploit and soon.

I have no hard evidence but thru exp. It's not worth stacking. If u farm scourge winter boss ( while suicide rocketing him to keep checkpoint and get drop) Using one per kill it's like a 10%-15% chance. I've used 3 to 5 coins b4 and got nothing. I did have a buddy use 2 at a time and he went 4 in a row but ya I would stick w. One

I used 3 per use and got %50 drop. Seemed legit but man if I didn't need to I could have saved a bunch. I still have some so I'll try 1 per time and see where I end up.

I guess it would depend how many coins u spent overall. I went back and forth, as did my group, but ultimately stuck w. 1 and got maybe 15 out of 80 or so coins purchased for myself not a bad haul but want to save coins for nxt week I case he has something I want

That means you got like 18.7% per coin and I got 20%...seems like the buff effect was close to equal then. Just a matter or 20% or 10 or 20% of 80. Looks like so far the math says 1 is the way to go.

I used probably 30 so 10 rounds and 5 drops.
