Fortunately our USAican bretheren add their sales tax after purchase. As an example, a USAican friend I was in a raid with last night has just paid $64.something for TTK legendary edition, from a store, after tax (no, I can't remember which state he is in).
That means that the £36 from simply games is CHEAPER up front than in that US state... The £40 that my clanmate just paid on Amazon... CHEAPER than that US state.
Obviously this may not be the case in all of the states, but it goes to show that we are not being particularly singled out for being screwed.

Apples and oranges. I'm talking about people purchasing a physical copy of TTK legendary edition. In which case not all Americans get it at a lower price than the UK. Then again, not all outlets in the UK are at the same price. Nor are copies for last gen vs next gen in the same outlet at the same price. And seriously, for this particular product, the most unfair and expensive way to purchase it has been via the Xbox Live Store or the PS Store as a digital download (well apart from the odd independent retailer with stupidly high prices, but they are edge cases). Digital downloads of games are becoming more and more of a rip off. Unless you purchase in some variety of sale you tend to be dealing with a supplier who has a monopoly - and that is never good for consumers.
