Agreed.
There was no reason to touch the accuracy in the first place. We're talking EFFECTIVE RANGE.
Hand Cannons are a precision weapon built for Mid Range combat. In all seriousness, they should be the CQC cousin of Scout Rifles, with equal terms of accuracy but with their main difference being in Range. Hand Cannons offset this by having greater Impact so that they aren't getting wasted by Auto and Pulse Rifle sprayers.
I mean, really Bungie...how difficult is this for you? I know at least several novice designers from college who could figure all this balancing out way more easily.
I'm starting to believe the people who say shit like this is being done on purpose.

Yeah, they are superior to Auto Rifles in terms of damage output. The "Time To Kill" is way shorter for a Hand Cannon. However, Auto Rifles are a general purpose weapon that are good for any situation, a jack of all trades. The AR can throw off a Hand Cannon's aim if you're managing to get a consistent stream on them. This is generally where skill is factored in the most, because the guy using the Hand Cannon still has an opportunity to win in that situation if they can place their shots still despite the difficulty of being pelted with bullets. Auto Rifles do require skill as well, but the learning curve isn't nearly as rough as other weapons. That being said, they are the easiest weapon to get the hang of and most players who aren't specialists with certain guns will generally gravitate towards them. That is why Auto Rifles/Assault Rifles are an "Every Man's Weapon" type.

Maybe , personal I'd rather have an pulse in this game. What ever happens to hand cannons it should never be allowed to go back to the way it was. I like the fact that each map had options now and each play style has options but it's only a matter of time before the same blink shotgun scrubs work out that rushing with shotguns is just as strong. All ready had that last night when facing a full fireteam of shotguns. Would have liked an old last word to stop that bs.
