If I was to get into Star Wars lore like this where would I start? As reading all these comments has me very interested.
Should I forget about all the films?

Read the books and comics bruh then read wookiepedia

The films themselves are great, but the lore is even better. That being said, instead of scrounging around for all the books and comics, read the SW Wiki.
